Storytelling is a big part of promoting your business. So how do you tell a story and why do you tell a story?
Truth is we’re hardwired to listen to stories. That is how we want to get our information.
You start giving people a bunch of numbers and data, and they’re going to get bored or lose interest. But a story, that will captivate them and keep them engaged until the end — as long as you’re telling a tight story that they can follow.
So introduce a hero but make sure that hero is not you, your product, or your service. The hero should be your target customer so they see themselves in the story that you’re telling.
Then, tell the story over and over again so that your customers understand how it is that you are helping them.
